Investiture Ceremony 2017-2018

Maharaja Agarsain Public School bestows upon its students the ability to become future leaders, deliberating the same, the school held its Investiture Ceremony on 27th April 2017. New Head Boy,Vice head boy and Head Girl and Vice head girl have been elected after a voting held a week before involving the whole of the school community. The ceremony commenced with honoring the newly elected Senior Head Boy – Aryan Saini, Senior Head Girl- Dhriti Gaur, Junior Head Boy- Ishant Sharma, Junior Head Girl- Guarika Gupta who were feliciated by Principal Madam followed by honoring the Senior Vice Head Boy- Tarun Luthra, Senior Vice Head Girl- Riya Himmatramka by Mrs.Kavita Gupta and Junior Vice Head Boy- Rishabh Rajput, Junior Vice Head Girl- Drishti Gupta were honored with the badges by Mrs.Bindu Kashyap .The chosen leaders had undergone several rounds of carefully conducted interviews and tests. The other members of the student council including the committee heads, house captains, vice captains, sports captains and the like were also felicitated. The new Head Boy- Aryan Saini and Head Girl- Dhriti Gaur promised a definite change for the better tomorrow with great conviction in their confident speeches. The newly appointed Student Council was adorned with the badges. The ceremony proceeded with the outgoing Head Boy- Abdesh Jha bidding a sentimental adieu to the school in their respective speeches and handling over the School Flag to the present team and wishing luck to the appointed Student Council.This was followed by the entire council taking oath and seeking blessings from Almighty through a prayer- ‘Humko Mann Ki Shakti Dena’ with a promise to discharge their duties with sincerity and fulfill everyone's expectations. The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Principal- Mrs.Punam Gupta who congratulated the ‘Young Leaders’ and encouraged the newly elected Office Bearers to uphold the values of the school and effectuate their duties honestly and impartially. It was a solemn occasion where the young students were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school.

To welcome the first day of spring season, the school celebrated ‘Basant Panchami’ with fervor in school premises on 1st February. A special morning assembly was conducted in which students were told about the significance of the day. The celebrations started with the Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of goddess Saraswati for seeking knowledge and wisdom followed by chanting of shlokas by Mr.Aditya Nath. Dances were performed on the song ‘Maa Saraswati Sharde’ & ’Namaste Maa Sharda Devi Maa Saraswati’. Teachers were dressed in yellow attire and offered floral prayers. Principal mam felicitated the winners of the online Mathematics competition ‘The Diwali challenge’ organized by Mangahigh and EdTech review with medals and certificates and congratulated everyone on this auspicious occasion.
Last but not the least the yellow coloured sweetened rice were distributed amongst students and staff.

With the spirit of nationalism and patriotism, we celebrated our 68th Republic Day on 25th January,2017 in the school premises. The programme commenced with patriotic spirit by unfurling the national flag followed by a song paying tribute to our motherland. Hasya Kavi Sammelan, a skit by tiny tots depicting the theme ‘honesty’,a saga of Lord Shiva and exuberant dances were the highlight of the day which exhibited everyone’s love for the nation. The students who proved their mettle at NSC (National Science Congress), bagged 10 CGPA in class X and CBSE-I students who have successfully launched their mini business on the Internet were felicitated by honorable management members. The day ended with the inspiring words of AWS President Sh. I.D. Garg ji who motivated the teachers, students and entire faculty to continue to work hard relentlessly where as the vote of thanks was proposed by the school Manager- Sh. R.K. Gupta ji who congratulated the entire school for attaining heights.

Fun and frolic at Agarsain Carnival
To celebrate the spirit of benevolence, the school organized ‘Agarsain Carnival’ on December 25, 2016. From exciting games, lip-licking delicacies, foot-tapping music and cultural extravaganza, there was something for everyone to guarantee hours of fun. FunMazaa.com, Rockstar and Goblet of Fun were few of the intriguing game stalls put up by the students and were huge hit with the revellers. Talent Hunt Competition witnessed the zealous participation of the students who bagged prizes for their captivating performances. The school also gave away spectacular prizes in the Lucky Dip contest which included Apple iPad, bicycle and Bluetooth speakers. The Christmas carnival was an extravaganza of food, games and dance performances that were relished by everyone. Both the teachers’ and students’ hard work left nothing to be desired. The Agarsain Carnival successfully realized its dual purpose of fun and charity.

Teaching is a noble act and helping our peers is one of the best way to develop mastery. Having students work with each other is an effective methodology because it encourages students to be active learners and talk through course concepts in their own words. Reetik Agarwal of Class XII-D took the initiative of teaching mathematics for 2 hours to his classmates after the school hours. It has not only enhanced concept clarity but also boosted student's confidence in a subject that is phobia for most. For this Reetik has picked up one of the toughest chapter in class XII mathematics. The difficult topics are explained thoroughly by him followed by a doubt clearing round. Difficult and tricky questions are solved on the board. This collaborative learning encourages cooperative rather than competitive behaviour. It has been extremely beneficial for the students as they are more comfortable and less inhibited being taught by a fellow student!
